I'd like to spend
April, sitting on a hill,
With a mushroom for
a parasol and violets
for a frill. And the
wind for a violin, To
play spring tunes,
And the blossoms in
the treetops, For gay balloons.
I'd like to spend
April sitting on a
mound, Watching for
the flowers to pop out
of the ground. With
their green silk stockings,
And new spring clothes,
Trying to look taller
by dancing on their toes!
The Splendor of the Rose and the Whiteness of the Lily do not rob the Little Violet of it scent nor the Daisy of it's Simple Charm.
If every tiny flower wanted to be a Rose
Spring would loose it's Loveliness!

Easter Season occurs in early April or late March.
Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar.
Traditionally the Easter Season lasted for the forty days from Easter Day until Ascension Day but now officially lasts for the fifty days until Pentecost. The first week of the Easter Season is known as Easter Week or the Octave of Easter. Easter also marks the end of Lent, a season of fasting, prayer, and penance.
Hi Sue! I am going to take your advice and use Tylenol to sleep tonight. I have so much to do tomorrow - we're going up to Ft. Collins to see Brad and his family. We'll go to his Good Friday service. That's a long day for old sleepy Pom Pom! Love the poem! YOU are a cheerleader for all things happy, Sue!
